Dr Wang's Biography

Dr Wang's Biography

From Darkness to Sight shares the remarkable life journey of Dr. Ming Wang, a world-renowned laser eye surgeon and philanthropist. It is an inspirational story of how one man turned fear, poverty, persecution, and prejudice into healing and love for others.

A:

Many of our patients are indeed like her, i.e., come from out of state of country (from over 40 states in the U.S. and 55 countries to date), so we are accustomed to taking care of out-of-town folks. Typically, for out-of-town patients, the schedule is:

-          Take out soft contact lens for a week (if soft toric or RGP, then: 2 weeks + one week for every decade of wearing).

-          Arrive at Nashville on a Sun night (or Tues night).

-          ON the next day (i.e., Mon or We), have full evaluation, and if do qualify, the 3D LASIK or 3D SMILE procedure, on the same day;

-          See us the next day (postop day #1, i.e., Tues, or Thurs)

-          After that, depending on the situation, the patient may need return to see us in weeks and months (or find a local follow-up).
